Week VII (cont'd)

1. Continued updating contracts for Mid-Year Rate Increases.

2. Spent the majority of the day working on GOs in iAnalyze for TJMaxx. I added approximately 20 stores. In addition, I selected the print media that we will be using for those markets and printed out coverage reports.

3. Continued working on the IMS Reach/Freq. project.

Week VII (cont'd)

1. Met with coworker and discussed the status of the technical issue we encountered yesterday in iBuy. With the help of our rep. we were able to resolve this issue earlier this morning and completed the preprint.

2. Yesterday I neglected to mention that I uncovered an issue in IMS, the first so far. Though the issue is not "serious" it is nonetheless significant. IMS is currently working to resolve it.

3. Received and closed out a few more contracts/rate verifications.

4. Spent much of the day working on GOs in iBuy, inputting the buys into the system, activating/adding new papers, generating IOs, Cost Summaries, and Run Lists, and finally sending them (electronically) to the vendors.

5. Began working on the second market in MediaMix (for the reach/freq. project). Completed the second of three markets.

6. Was asked to update a couple of the contracts in iBuy after receiving word that there were some Mid-Year Rate Increases. These slight percentage increases directly affect the rate that we pay (or the rate card right, to be accurate) to the vendors. It is extremely important to keep the rates current to reflect accurate buying.

7. Began a new AJ Wright project - Store Sales by Zip Code. I was asked to gather heat maps and excel spreadsheets for every AJ store, as of FY03 (2002), delineating sales by zip code and other related figures.

Week VII (cont'd)

1. Received Market Facts for three more Marshalls GOs. Geocoded the lats and longs, added the stores to the master list, created the GOs in iAnalyze, and selected print media for the three stores. Finally, I ran Store Reports by Trade Radius to show coverage for each paper within the stores' respective trade radii.

2. Received contract and invoice from the pub. I negotiated for our August GO. Had it signed by one of our Media Specialists, and discussed a few additional minor details. It is now 100% complete.

3. Began working on a preprint order in iBuy for an AJ Wright GO. Encountered some technical difficulties.

4. Began umpteenth round of follow-up calls with newspaper reps...still missing information from them.

5. Discussed with a co-worker the most efficient way to use IMS' MediaMix for the reach/frequency project I am working on. Began mixing the media. This, however, is still an intermediate step as I need to present my final findings (reach/frequency) in an excel-like, columnar spreadsheet.

Week VII

1. Made a few small changes on one of the TMC products for AJ Wright in iBuy. It is now properly added to the mix and associated with a rep, dma, and division.

2. Received "Market Facts" from Real Estate. Added a new Marshalls GO in iAnalyze: pulled the lats and longs, added the store to the division, set the trade radii, and made media selections (newspaper only) for the GO.

3. Began adding the contract rates for the AJ TMCs in iBuy. Completed all but two.

4. Ran all of the preliminary data for the IMS project that I was given on Friday. I now have the Print, Radio, and TV data set for all three DMAs. The only steps that remain are mixing them all together in MediaMix and then generating a report illustrating my findings.

5. Placed Media Orders for a few GOs in iBuy and, in the process, added the publication that I negotiated, to the media batch. (The key products of these orders are the IOs and Cost Summaries that the process generates. The system enables us to automatically "send" the ads off for production.)
